When we started working as teenagers, we started in field industries, literally and figuratively. Adam’s first real job was in construction, and Lisa’s working life began on her family farm. A common phrase whenever there was a problem was, “Get a second set of eyes on it”. We’d like to do that for you. We’ve seen different things in the tech world with different eyes. We’ve tried a lot of it ourselves. We can help you look at what you’re trying to do and offer different solutions or even improvements to your existing solutions to make them better. A question we often get asked is, “Have you worked with ‘X’ before?” No. Probably not. We’ve worked with logic before, though. We’ve written our own software, workflows, database architectures, scripts, and even dabbled in harware at an electronics level. We get the concepts, we ask directed questions, and we can read between the lines. We’re in this industry because we’re good at it. We may not know every piece of software or hardware out there, but give us some time with the manual, and we’ve got it.

One of our favorite Steve Jobs quotes is “Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact: Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use.” Technology today is nothing more than electronically implemented logic. It was made by people. We’ve spent the better part of half of our lives learning how it all works together and the logic that runs it all. We don’t know every computer language, but from the 5 volts that separates a 1 from a 0, to the databases, front end apps, and back end servers, we get it. Let’s make something together that gets you where you need to be.
W. Edwards Demming, the American quality expert that helped the Japanese rebuild after World War II, has a systematic method for development. We apply those principles in our solutions development. He says that the 0th stage, the planning, ideas, concepts, and imagination stage are where you spend the most time. We do too. We believe that a clear definition of “success, we’ve arrived” is critical to a good project. We’ve implemented this strategy successfully for our clients and for ourselves also. When we engage with a client to create something new, that’s going to be reiterated in the first meeting. We don’t believe in rushing through this process, and we think it’s a mismanagement of our client’s time, money, and mental resources. We’re not interested in gettting something out the door fast, if it means sacrificing success. We don’t “kick the can down the road”. We solve problems with the following mindset, “I will win. Not immediately, but definitely.” If you’re looking for a “flash in the pan” quick solution, we’re probably not the company you’re looking for. If, however, you’re looking for a solution that will stand the test of time, grow with you, flex when it needs to, and support the goals of your organization, then that’s us. That’s what we do.
